Dr. Arthur H. Press has been practicing dentistry for nearly 20 years, with an emphasis on:

  • Cosmetic Dentistry
  • General Dentistry

Dr. Press received his undergraduate B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1977. He then went on graduate from Columbia University in 1981 with a D.D.S. degree.

He performed his advanced residency training in General Practice at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. From 1984 until 1989, Dr. Press was an Advanced Clinical Instructor at Bellevue Hospital in their General Practice Residency Program.

Dr. Press is an active member in the following dental societies:

  • American Dental Association
  • Dental Society of the State of New York
  • American Association of Dental Group Practice
  • American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Press has been featured on a WCBS television segment in New York with Earl Ubel on the topic of "Painless Dentistry" His strong emphasis on cosmetic dentistry has lead to his working with many fashion models.

Personally, Dr. Press and his wife Ilene have one son. He is a former professional computer programmer and therefore has a strong interest in technology in dentistry.

Dr. Press' hobbies include computers, drawing, sculpting, music, jogging, weight training and camping.

Irwin W. Mindell, D.D.S. is a highly experienced and qualified dentist who has been practicing dentistry since graduating with a D.D.S. degree from the New York University Dental School in 1955. He received his B.S. degree from Brooklyn College in 1951.

Dr. Mindell served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, practicing dentistry in Morocco from 1955 until 1957.

He has 20 years of dental teaching experience as an Attending Clinical Instructor and Instructor at the following hospitals and schools:

Cumberland Hospital Advanced Clinical Instructor
Long Island College Hospital Advanced Clinical Instructor
New York University Dental School Instructor
Columbia Dental School Instructor

Dr. Mindell is a member in the following associations and organizations:

  • American Dental Association
  • Gold Foil Study Club
  • Study Club for Dental Diagnosis and Treatment - President, 1969 - 1971
  • American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Mindell has made numerous appearances on television, CNN, CBS, NBC and ABC, as a dental authority. He is also the dentist to many famous celebrities, including actors and models.

On a personal note, Dr. Mindell says that his parents lost all their teeth in their forties. He still has all his teeth and expects to have them well into his nineties.

"Although teeth need daily care and regular professional treatments, one can have all their teeth for a lifetime".

Dr. Mindell's personal interests include tennis, travel and reading.

Marylouise E. Howatt, D.D.S. has been in private practice for 14 years and is a member of the following dental societies:

  • New York State Dental Association
  • American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Howatt received her D.D.S. degree -- Doctor of Dental Science -- from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA in 1985. She received her B.S. degree from Columbia University in New York City in 1981. The doctor also received a R.D.H. degree -- Registered Dental Hygienist -- from Temple University in 1975.

Dr. Howatt performed her advanced residency training in General Practice at Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey from 1985 to 1986.

Dr. Howatt finds the greatest obstacle in dental treatment to be people's perception of the dental office as a "painful" situation.

"Creating an environment where patients are physically comfortable and have their psychological needs met is very satisfying to me personally".

Dr. Howatt's personal interests include photography, architecture and traveling.
